Roles & Responsibilities:
Assistant Professor of Education
The School of Education at the American University in Dubai invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Education, to begin in August 2023.
The successful candidate will have:
- A Doctorate in Education or related field (Ph.D. or Ed.D.) from a western accredited university.
- Ability to integrate technology.
- Teaching experience in elementary and/or secondary schools.
- A background in Arts and Humanities.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- An active research agenda.
In addition, qualified applicants should possess a high degree of intercultural sensitivity and an understanding of American education as well as teacher education in global classroom settings. Preferred candidates will also be proficient in the use of technology for instructional purposes, knowledgeable of curriculum standards and current practices in K-12 education, including the teaching of Arabic.
The compensation package for this position is based on the expatriate model. It includes a tax-exempt basic salary, housing, annual round-trip airfare, health/life insurance, professional memberships, conference attendance expenses, assistance with children’s tuition, and other components.
