Job Description:

• Responsible for preparing and processing payroll for client employees.
• Maintaining payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data.
• Coordinating efforts between payroll, human resources, budget, and other departments to ensure proper maintenance of employee data.
• Updating payroll records with changes in exemptions, travel, savings deductions, job titles, and department/division transfers.
• Preparing reports summarizing earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, sickness, and nontaxable wages.
• Calculating payroll liabilities, including taxes and workers’ compensation payments.
• Resolving payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information.
• Providing payroll information and answering questions.
• Maintaining payroll operations according to policies and procedures while ensuring confidentiality.
• Contributing to team efforts and complying with industry standards and accounting laws.
• Sending suggestions to the Director regarding payroll account issues.

Desired Candidate Profile:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience.
• Certification from a professional accounting body is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Word, Excel, and accounting software.
• Excellent numerical and problem-solving skills.
• High level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Capability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
