Audit & Assurance | External Audit | Manager Full Time

Experience:

• The candidate should have a minimum of 6+ years of experience in public accounting, auditing, audit management, budgeting, business planning, and business strategy, preferably with big 4 Audit Firms.

Education:

• A degree in Accounting or a related field is required.

Qualifications:

• The candidate should have extensive knowledge of best practice reporting and International financial reporting standards.
• They should have the ability to develop their own knowledge and the knowledge of others related to Deloitte’s tools and audit methodology and applicable professional accounting and auditing standards.
• The candidate should be able to thoroughly review audit documentation for completeness, accuracy, and adequacy while ensuring timely archiving of work papers.
• An international accounting qualification is required, such as CA, ACCA, or CPA.
• Fluency in English (reading, speaking, and writing) is a must.
• Preference will be given to bilingual candidates (Arabic/English).

Responsibilities: The Manager in Audit & Assurance will have the following responsibilities:

• Building trust and credibility with multiple stakeholders while providing constructive challenge on engagement issues.
• Reviewing documentation of flows of transactions and tests of relevant controls early in the audit cycle.
• Suggesting mitigating testing when controls are found to be ineffective.
• Recognizing opportunities to add value, extend knowledge, and provide exceptional stakeholder value.
• Participating in group risk assessment scoping of work.
• Running file checks regularly throughout the audit.
• Engaging early with scheduling and the extended engagement team.
• Communicating the project plan and any entity-related dependencies with the entity’s management team.
• Performing reviews with professional skepticism.
• Ensuring compliance with auditing and accounting standards, relevant laws and regulations, ethical standards, independence requirements, and the audit firm’s quality control procedures.
