SUPERVISOR – PLANNING

Roles & Responsibilities:

Planning at DP World, you will play a crucial role in our operations and ensure the smooth and efficient functioning of our planning department. Here’s what you’ll be responsible for:

• Take charge of all billing activities related to Engineering, Third Party, and Reefer clients. Ensure that all financial transactions are accurately documented and accounted for.
• Manage a dedicated team of Reefer Analysts, overseeing the details related to Port Tariffs, job specifics, shipping line systems, and financial validation.
• Exercise control over all data related to backlogs, collaborating closely with Reefer supervisors to promptly address any performance issues that may arise.
• Review all Preventative Maintenance tasks on a monthly basis and liaise with planning supervisors to ensure no pending or overdue tasks are left unattended.
• Handle emergency breakdowns related to shipping lines, ensuring that all Reefer supervisors and analysts are aligned and providing timely updates and approvals through customer portals.
• Collaborate seamlessly with IT, Planning team members, and Engineering section SMEs to optimize system workflows and ensure regular updates that align with departmental needs.
• Assist in organizing training sessions for end-users, helping team members understand system usage, and providing ongoing support as needed.
• Conduct data analysis to compile weekly and monthly engineering performance reports for KPI tracking. Confirm details for shipping lines to facilitate revenue generation or recovery.
• Support Quality team members in ensuring all relevant documents and details are readily available for internal and external audits and quality certifications.

Required Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Business, Engineering, Logistics).
• Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role within the planning or logistics industry.
• Proficiency in financial management and billing processes.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to extract meaningful insights from data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Familiarity with shipping line operations and reefer logistics is a plus.
